INCREASING CLIMATE ACTIVISM
Green Umbrella
Green Umbrella was a fledgling organization founded by the Ohio EPA in 1998 to address concerns about the environment in and around Cincinnati. As the organization grew, it became necessary to enhance its branding to raise awareness and effectively communicate its message. Pop developed the branding for Green Umbrella and extended it to outdoor boards, collateral, apparel, a website, and a webapp that tracked individuals’ environmental efforts. They have grown into a regional climate collaborative with 560 members and partners, collectively diverting the equivalent of more than 43,000 tons of waste from landfills.
